Drugs and you
It doesn’t matter what drug you use. If it’s affecting your life, we’re here to help.
Whether it’s cannabis, ketamine, painkillers, cocaine, heroin, or something else, all drugs can be harmful.
You might use now and then, or every day. You might feel in control, or not at all. Whatever your situation, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to face it by yourself.
How drugs can affect you
Depressants (like heroin or methadone):
- Slow you down
- Make it harder to move or think clearly
- Can lead to crashes, low moods, or feeling anxious after
Stimulants (like cocaine or ecstasy):
- Speed you up
- Make you feel full of energy or alert
- Can lead to crashes, low moods, or feeling anxious after
Hallucinogens (like cannabis, ketamine, or magic mushrooms)
- Change how you see or feel things
- Can cause paranoia, anxiety, or confusion
- Might make you feel out of control
Did you know? Cannabis is the most commonly used illegal drug in the UK.
Even drugs that seem ‘safe’ can affect your health, your mood, your relationships, and your future. But change is possible, and we can help.
How we can help
You don’t have to stop overnight.
We’ll work with you to:
- Understand why you use drugs
- Spot your triggers and cravings
- Build better ways to cope
- Make a plan that works for you
Support might include:
- One-to-one sessions with a key worker
- Home detox with medical support
- Residential detox or rehab
Everything is private. You won’t be judged.
When you're ready
You don’t have to be ready to stop. You just have to be ready to talk. We’ll meet you where you are, and walk with you from there.
Getting help is a brave step. It’s not selfish, it’s self-care.
