From 1 April, Horizon’s drug and alcohol service will be delivered by CGL.
We will continue to support people in Blackpool, and our sexual health and harm reduction services are not changing. These services will continue to be delivered as they are now.
What this means for you
You will continue to be able to access free, confidential drug, alcohol, and sexual health support in Blackpool. Our focus throughout this period is on making sure you feel informed, supported, and able to access help when you need it.
At the end of March and start of April, there will be a short period where some things may work a little differently while changes are put in place. During this time, there may be temporary changes to where appointments happen, how appointments are booked, or whether group sessions are running.
You will still be able to contact the service and get support if you need it. If any short-term changes affect you directly, we will share clear information about what this means for you and how to stay in touch with the service.
What is not changing
- You will continue to be treated with respect and supported in a way that works for you.
- You can continue to access sexual health and harm reduction support as normal
Keeping you informed
We will share clear and up to date information with you, and with partner organisations, as the transition progresses. If contact details or ways of working change, we will let you know clearly and as early as possible.
A note of thanks
Horizon has always been shaped by people supporting people. We are proud to say our colleagues and volunteers have shown care, professionalism, and commitment in supporting individuals, families, and communities across Blackpool. That care continues to guide how we handle this change.
