Horizon, Blackpool’s trusted provider of drug and alcohol support services, welcomes the launch of the new Blackpool Recovery Hub, a vital new space offering holistic support to individuals affected by addiction.
Now officially open, the Recovery Hub at 258 Church Street is a collaborative initiative led by Blackpool Council’s Public Health Department, in partnership with Blackpool Coastal Housing, Delphi Medical Ltd, and the Empowerment Charity.
The Hub provides a safe, welcoming environment for individuals at all stages of recovery, offering evidence-based programs, peer support, and community outreach.
“This hub is more than a building—it’s a promise,” said Councillor Jo Farrell, Cabinet Member for Communities and Wellbeing. “It represents our unwavering commitment to support those who are rebuilding their lives.”
As part of the wider recovery ecosystem in Blackpool, Horizon is proud to stand alongside partners who share our mission to reduce harm, promote recovery, and empower individuals to thrive. The Hub’s offerings—including SMART therapy, creative workshops, and peer-led support—complement Horizon’s own person-centred services, creating new opportunities for collaboration and community impact.
“We see this as a powerful step forward for Blackpool,” said a Gemma Mukadam for Horizon. “Together, we are building a recovery community rooted in compassion, dignity, and hope.”
Horizon looks forward to working closely with the Recovery Hub team to ensure that everyone in Blackpool has access to the support they need—whether they are just beginning their journey or continuing to build a life in recovery.
